Meridian Twizel Hard Labour Refund Policy
The Meridian Twizel Hard Labour Weekend operates as a not-for-profit community event. The focus of the event is to raise funds for local kids sports teams (snow sports, rugby, netball and rowing) which are burdened with the costs of travel and purchase of equipment. In recent years the event has helped support individual students with their Outward-Bound fees and travel to national sports tournaments. The event also helps other community groups such as St Johns, Coastguard Mackenzie Lakes, Twizel Kindy and the Twizel Early Learning Centre through donations for providing volunteer event support and officials.
We ask competitors to consider the entry fee as not only an entry to an awesome family oriented multisport weekend, but also as a contribution to supporting the Twizel kids sports teams.
With this in mind, the Meridian Twizel Hard Labour Weekend organising committee have established the following refund policy.
A: Competitor withdraws from event after entry
The Meridian Twizel Hard Labour Weekend does not offer refunds to competitors that withdraw from the event following entry.
If you wish to protect yourself against the unexpected then we strongly recommend you take out the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program at time of race entry.
Competitors that enrol in the enhanced refund program will be refunded if they are unable to attend due to the following reasons and many more:
- Injury & Illness
- Pregnancy Complications
- COVID-19
- Layoffs / Termination
- Severe Weather
- Mechanical Breakdown
The Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program does not apply where the Meridian Twizel Hard Labour Weekend is cancelled by the organisers.
