Apart from the sponsors, there are a number of people and organisations that we are indebited to and without whom these events would not happen. They are the unsung heroes of these kind of fund raising operations. The committee would like to acknowledge the following people:
- The landowners and managers of the land that the events take place on, including Simon and Priscilla Cameron (particularly for the use of the start/finish area), Mike and Elaine Lindsay, Ethan Gabriel, the Department of Conservation and Meridian Energy for the use of the canal roads for the Canal Caper.
- Malcolm Lousley for auditing our financial records and making sure we are all above board.
- Local Police and St Johns for road safety and first aid backup.
- Hunters Cafe and Bar proprietors, Cheryl and Simon Tessier for hosting the Pyramid Run prize giving.
- Phil Brownie from Destination Mt Cook Mackenzie and Jen Andrews for the pre (and hopefully post) event media coverage.
- Rex Tonycliff from Works Civil and Bill Godsall at Sport Central for preparing Traffic Management Plans for the Dusky and Canal Caper respectively.
- People who have helped us advertise through their events or websites or by distributing posters and entries, including Chris Cox of SBS Christchurch Marathon, Chris Thomas of Special Events Aoraki Ltd, Peter and Margaret Munro of the Run 79 Lake Tekapo MTB Pursuit and Sport South Canterbury.
- Margaret Armstong for photocopying.
- Dave Houston from Kiwi Favourites web design who put together this wonderful website for us and continues to patiently help the techno-phobe in charge of it.
- Last but not least, all the parents and kids from the sports clubs - junior rugby, netball, rowing and the snow club, that act as marshals, do registrations and prepare food at the events.
If we have missed anyone, our humble apologies but please accept this acknowledgement of your contribution.
